    Re: Anyone have/had a good Non-auto use for a Zip-tie?

Last Christmas the wife decided she HAD to have lights wrapping around the pillars in front of the house. Out come the big zip ties an HVAC buddy of mine gave me. Easy install and removal.
    GM G-bodies, because I can't afford a 69 Camaro.

computer building, got them on wires.
I must have them elsewhere, a package of 100 is missing...

just remembered. my horrifying slumlord rental with heat on into june... it got all 100 of them wrapping insulation on the piping.

still get charged for a/c into october.

landlords suck. asks for extra in electricity after I fight the fat tards laziness in never fixing the heat...

"pay this bill bitch its your own." <- I'd like to say that when I finally leave. for now I zip tie my mouth shut. :

The handle broke on my Dobro case about 20 years ago. The little buggers are still holding - they shoulda put those on the handle at the factory!

I have to admit - I fixed the wife's wind chime thing with one the other day.

Not exactly what you were asking for,
but if you want to scare the hell out of a buddy, wrap one around a drive shaft.(it has to be long enough to slap a heat shield or the floor pan). The poor guy starts to drive off, stops, drives a little more, stops, then tries it a little faster. You get the idea.

Not so funny when it was done to me, but it is funny as hell when done to others.
                when in doubt,.. throttle out

They can be used to check reaction time of at least two people at the same time for various events. I used to use the real small ones to tie the trigger open on the kitchen sink side spray thing on the now ex- wife.

The R/T's you can check are:
                  Her scream, and or vulgarities
                  Her running away
                  Her turning the water off

You getting out of the house :D

I use lots of them daily working on handcap mobility equipment.
Tying power and control wiring mostly. Also tilt and brake cables.

I think Pumpkin and Smack are in a dead heat for first place - funnier than all get out.
