I added a new weapon to my anti-groundhog arsenal. It may look simple enough, yet it is the most effective method tried to date.





If any of you engage in warfare with these little burrowing, destructive beasts - - and possess a pushmower, holesaw, eat the occasional can of soup, and have a spare piece of exhaust tubing laying around - - try this out. Holesaw the appropriate size hole in the bottom of the can, slip can on muffler, slip tubing into can and into vermin hole. Seal hole somewhat with the dirt the little buggers left there for you.

Seriously, I've trapped, have a good dog, use poison, etc, and this is probably the only thing I will ever use again. Fire it up, let run for 20 minutes or so, end of problem.

That's a good idea. We have a huge problem with ground squirrels at the church I work at. Do you think that would work with the squirrels?

Do you think this would work for Moles?

I'm at war with those little ankle turning bastids at two different properties.

I was told to use grub x - that will kill the grubs which is what the moles are eating..... didn't work so well.

Moles, squirrels, yeah baby! Go for it, last I checked they weren't immune to carbon monoxide!

At any rate, its cheap enough to try. ;)

Back in the 70's I worked at a cemetery with a ground squirrel problem...
We dropped cotton balls dipped in carbon tetrachloride down their little holes - killed 'em dead.
The EPA wouldn't have approved, however.

Uh yea - like anything that breathes air - or wants to.

I've used these on voles - work great. I love the name too - great marketing man there.

That has to be one of the most redneck fixes I've ever seen...........and I love it! ;D

My mother's solution to groundhogs was a .243 rifle. Works every time. ;)
