I don't see why pontiac should get an elcomino but kind of like the gto ,I hope they sell enough the if I want one later one should be easy and affordable to find!

            Another Aztec for Pontiac?

Just another way to reduce materials & assembly costs, & raise profit margins.

Essentially, a "Camino" has air where metal, wiring, plastic, & upholstery would've been.

Not a bad-lookin' "PonchoCamino", considering all the other "delightful" choices.

it's called a Ute over there and they already have Tons of these from Ford and GM.... Aussies have embraced the style... ( because it makes sense )... and some of the SS models are just cool as hell...

About every 1/3rd car is one of these... the other thirds are Wagons and sedan's.. No pick up's like we know them...unless they are like an actual work truck.... or at least few enough for me to say that...

I like it, just please, not "El Camino". And can we get some FPV products while we're at it?!

Why a Pontiac? I'd have brought it over as a Chevy El Camino.

                      Re: Another Holden for Pontiac.

GM seems to think that Pontiac deserves all the stuff they raid from Holden...especially since they're gearing the brand toward performance vehicles, and Chevy to mainstream offerings. Personally, I'd say ditch either Buick or Saturn and bring Holden to the US..the Monaro looked much better (and cleaner, IMO) than the GTO, the Commodore Ute looks better than the G8 S/T (it's current name for now), and I personally would love to see the Statesman/Caprice come over here and replace the Impala.

                        Re: Another Holden for Pontiac.

Now if they would put the GTO powertrain in it, it would be really a great Car/Truck.

                        By the Way:
Why can't the US Branch of Pontiac come up with something?
                        Are thier Engineers that Lame?
They can theoretically get rid of them and lower the prices on the Cars.

american automotive engineers are mostly pussies...well, the accountants are at least...

they seem to think we won't mind shorter hoods & 4 bangers...hell, the volt doesn't even have a motor...

Probably the reason Pontiac getsIt is because that IS a GTO front end so there are no new tooling costs.
