what is there to figure out?  I'm sure you have all been told many times what bothers us. ...make us feel like you think we are beautiful, stop looking at internet hotties we cant compete with. Surprise us once in a while. Please stop lying by means of omission. Women want attention when the feel yours is eslewhere. Are any of you guilty of this? Or are you all the perfect boyfriends/ husbands. Most of us really do try to be all that you expect and want in a woman, why do you think we diet and get our hair done, cook and clean? We love you!

I am very guilty of the attention thing, as you seem to have guessed.

However, it creates quite a conflict internally, when I have only 2 apparent choices:

1) Try to complete a task which has been, ahem, "delegated" to me or...
2) Try to devote attention to the love of my life, who when I attempt this, only wants the conversation to turn to a complaint-fest about how crappy her friends husbands are treating them.

I don't honestly care about how crappy their husbands are treating them. There is nothing I can do about it, I don't cause it, and it doesn't affect me or mine, at least directly.

Can't we all just be happy? Or at least, can't I just finish the jobs I've been given?

Now, in a matter of seconds, I'm torn. There's Stiney's classic line (never mind the subject at all, it's classic in all situations): " Can't we all just be happy?"

And then I sense a slight little bit of the male gender gettin' shot to pieces by Topdown.

But the whole question is as big as the universe. I'm not about to post a link to the Man versus Woman collection on my site. I'm actually not gonna do it (aren't y'all proud of me this time?) , because nobody wins that one, either. There's no answer. Over the years of piling stuff on there, it's a dead heat, thanks to me trying to be uuuuuuhhh equal in the posts from emails I get.
