    Craigslist Mini Rant....

    Ok I spend too much time on Craigslist,whats the deal with phone numbers?
    I see phone numbers formatted like....
    1twoThReE $FIVEs!x 78nine ohhhh

    Why is that done?

    Besides it some how proves I'm old.

    And another thing,why do people see my phone number in my adds and then TEXT me?

    E-mail only for me. If you're to lazy to figure out the 'respond here' part then you do not need to be buying from me.

      I believe Craigslist doesn't want you to put your phone number in the adds, so that way you don't get harassed by people.

        it is to keep douchbags from spamming your phone...most people dont talk on the phone anymore, its a new culture, you can adapt or not...most old people dont want to. ;)

        email addys get spammed all the time...I hate that crap!

                      I hate looking thru craigslsit somedays...the adds like you mentioned leads me to belive the poster is a tard and isnt reallt trying to sell anything

                        I've had pretty good luck selling stuff on Craigslist, but I have found it is best to be extremely selective who I respond to. I keep my email hidden and list my phone number... that way I can hear the person's voice. If they sound competent, I'll get back to them. No way will I respond to a text unless I already know the person.

                        And if a person can't type well enough to post an ad that's readable, they won't be hearing from me.
