I had an '84 cherokee with the inline 4 that was still carbed, I'm pretty sure they didn't go EFI on the jeeps until 86 or 87 as Randal mentioned.

2wd Cherokees are rare - but they're out there.

1987 I believe was the first year for EFI on the 4.0L, I think the Cherokee's in 1986 were carb'd.

84-86 cherokee had 2.8 gm v6 in them with the varijet carburetor
