  • 1973 capri 5 liter v8

Ironically, this is the first four cylinder hot rod I ever rode in, I was 6 years old in 1979...

the car on a sharp left turn left me hanging onto the door handle, and the door popped open.. my mother grabbed me by the back of the shirt and brought the car to a stop. that lesson in creaking bending bodies was my first... and I just welded one this summer.. with the same error. Memory trigger just to see that old capri..
I wonder what he did for the v8 to hold up in the little chassis. ???

I just opened the door myself. It was a phase I went through cause I liked seeing the asphalt go by really fast. Guess what? Mom still gives me shit about it.

I just think it was a test to see whether or not we should survive. ;D... my road view came from a 1970 Bug (brand new at the time).

There have been many Euro Capri/V8 swaps over the years...

It actually is not a bad car for the time it was built... I kind of like them... A euro Mustang if you will... Short tail, long nose, long on style, ok performance with room to modify...

I've thought about doing the same thing to a '76 -'77, those were the best looking Capri of all I think.

I had a 76 that came over from Germany when I was in the Army. That little 3800 v-6 made that thing fly. I can imagine what a 5.0 does.
