Re: Started working at a new shop

Congratulations Andy - doing what you enjoy instead of what you have to do is worth a lot, good luck on your projects too.

Man, you stepped into it up to your shoulders! Congratulations. Looks like a very nice place to work, not just because it's cars but it looks clean and professional along with having the money..which is most important.

Yes, that is a Morgan. There is two of them in the shop at the moment.

And thanks for the kind words everyone. This place is awesome. Tomorrow I have a Lotus coming in to get running again, Friday I'm welding up a '36 Dodge cab that had the top chopped and Monday we'll be in Portsmouth NH to look over some cars that need to be restored for a customer. There is one Austin Healey, a Porsche 356, an old Benz and something else, don't remember what.

The owner has a '47 Ford business coupe that is a real nice piece. Gene Winfield has expressed some interest in coming in and doing a chop on it with us. That would be cool beyond words. Since Gene isn't getting any younger I've been all over the boss to make this happen.

Re: Started working at a new shop

Just curious, but what years are the Morgans? I ask because in the early '80s, the guys doing the design work on the Morgan were apparently on crack, since they chose to drop in same 1.6 CVH that powered the Escort. If it happened to be one of those years, I would love some engine shots to see if they did anything to the engine.
