  • Is fall Carlisle worth going to on Sunday?

Is the fall Carlisle swap meet worth going to if a guy could only make it there on sunday? Or is everyone packed up and gone by then?

    Thanks, Joel

I'll echo Doug's sentiments....I wouldn't bother. If your just looking to go for something to do it might be ok but if your doing any serious shopping its kind of a ghost town by then....we are heading over on Friday.

But Hershey is next week! It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!

The other side is, there are some really good deals on Sunday. If you are looking for something specific, earlier is better. If you are just looking fro deals, Sunday works pretty well. Some people would rather sell it than take it home. You will have to be there pretty early, but not before the sun comes up like on Thursday.

I have made good deals every day, and have been there all the days and not found anything. The last time I went, about 3 years ago, I went to buy a car. I had $27,000 in cash, and left with a empty trailer. Other times when I didn't have enough cash, there were a number of vehicles I would have bought.

You never know when there is going to be a deal. If I lived close enough, I would go just on the chance someone wanted to sell it before they left.
