  • Oh no..a Malibu wagon may have found me..

Sorry..no pics yet,but i may end up with a Malibu 78-79 wagon tomorrow..it has been standing outside a house here, for almost 10 years. It belong to a old guy, that drove it on a daily basis. Now he have been sick for a long time, and wants to clear the house for things he doesnt want and need.

I may end up with it..he just wants it gone, and i have the equipment to fulfill his wish..story will continue in one or another form..its not a car i really want,so i may sell it..

the richest person I've ever known drove one of those.... had a matching his/hers combo.... his was filled with tools because he was retired and did work around his church to help out.... when he died his estate was more then 1 billion...

Doing it all wrong since 1966

looks like rust could be a problem up on the FJORD

That's because you live in the Great Salt North. ;)

My 1979 ElCamino was rotted so bad where the trans Xmember met the frame that I had to use 2" wide washers to capture more of the frame...and im sure that that section rotted not long after I sold it. Damn I miss that car.

                              lucky find.

the norway stuff doesn't do like the northeast or minnesota...

I bet its petrified into a forging never to break...wishful thinking. :D

that really does happen local if given right environment. a night or two in the 20s F below.. it will never be the same again.
I still ponder the pile of 1940s and 50s stuff in a yard I found north in a town I lived in. a 30s below zero was recorded even while i lived there. no chrome mishaps.. strangely evolved stuff just sinking. the darndest things stopped in time.
