Jury duty and computers

So I've been on jury duty for the past 2 weeks.The first day I come home and the computer doesn't
work.Finally found time time to get it checked out,needed new hard drive.Just got it back.Lot's of catching up to do.

hdd crash.

have not seen that in awhile.

my own is pushing 31,000 hours.

not even a sign of ending...cross my fingers or count on the "1mil hours between failures"

pata+ups... is anything gonna beat it?

Got a Jury notice last week for Nov. 3. Hope it gets cancelled.

Why would you want to get out of jury duty? I would want intelligent people on a jury if I needed one, not people that are to dumb to get out of it......no, wait a minute, I want the dumb people. You can confuse them.

If i where still in California it would be easy, but here in Nevada not so much. They send you and your employer paper work telling you all the ways that YOU will go to jail if you don't make roll call.

As far as making an unbiased opinion, that's alot differant ;)

One thing that hasn't changed....they send the summons in the mail. If challenged, it would be thrown out since there is a requirement that you be personally served. US Mail does not constitute a personal service. On the other hand, if a deputy shows up and hands the jury summons to you, you better show up. County gov'ts have gotten away with mailing them out for too long IMO ....
