Chevy back to Indy Car!

Found out about this today. Got me all excited. 8)

Speed.com writer Robin Miller revealed yesterday afternoon that the IZOD IndyCar Series is in the final stages of negotiations with General Motors about bringing Chevrolet back into IndyCar Racing in 2012.

Miller added that an official announcement is expected to be made as early as Friday in Indianapolis. In perfect timing, IZOD IndyCar announced that there?ll be hosting a press conference on Friday at 10 a.m. EST at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.

I'm looking forward to the new engine specs for Indycar. So do they come back with a 4 or V6?

I think they can go with a V8 if they wanted. as long as it's within the displacement specs. 3.2L if I remember right.

Big deal.COSWORTH already has the engine,they are just purchasing the right to put their name on it.

The new spec is for a turbo'd engine of not more than 2.4 liters and can be either a 4 or V6.

Great a bunch of euros driving around in chevys. Open wheel racing has sucked for a very long time. I'd rather watch sprint cars.
