  • INEXPENSIVE welding blankets at HF

I saw on another site(?) that HF was blowing out welding blankets at his local branch.....in CANADA. Well, I called mine in SoCal....and same thing. 5x5 foot for under $4, I got a 6x8 foot for under $6 ($6.18 with tax!), and they have an 8x8 foot for under $8.

    I use them...they're cheap!
Whiskey for my men ... and beer for their horses!

I've never seen HF in Canada; I have to drive two hours South near Seattle to get my HF fix. Thanks for the welding blanket tip.

I bought a few of the welding blankets from HF a few years ago while welding on the cage in my truck. They were cotton that had been treated- made in Russia I think. They worked ok. But after I was thru, they sat in my shop for a month or so while the heat and humidity here in Alabama went up. They started wreaking of ammonia. I had put out on a clothes line for a few days to let the shop air out- the grass under the clothes line died. I trashed them, then.
