CONGRATTTUUULLLAAATINS VWMMP!! (your favorite game show music playing) Now David, tell us what VWMMP wins.....
Details to follow.
The picture above should have been when the car was shown at The Milwaukee Mile this past summer. There are very few people in this world who's opinion I value, you are not one of them.

Re: Car Junkies should know this motor
OK. Yes it was called the Sampson engine. A 16 cylinder engine built using Miller 91 blocks mounted side by side on individual crankcases geared to a common output shaft. The two engines used a common induction system. The total displacement of the 16 cylinders was 202” (2.312 X 3)
Millers started out as 4 cylinder engines later they built a longer crankcase to allow the use of two 4 cylinder blocks to build a straight 8 of 91” These early engines were 2 valve overhead cam racing only powerplants.
That was kinda fun.

Re: Car Junkies should know this motor
I'll see if I can find my old pics and send 'em to Keith. As I mentioned elsewhere, the ACD Museum in Auburn IN is amazing. There's a Deusenberg bare chassis that lets you see the twin cam up close and personal, but if memory serves, it's not a SJ (blown) motor.
Later
