Gosh, to do that (half speed) and set it to video....well, first I don't have the knowhow or hardware. But first you have to THINK of that. Boxer, seeya at the Academy Awards. Hope I at least get a mention for Best Soundtrack, though I doubt it..Charter member of the Turd NuggetsComment

Thanks Dan! It was a spur-of-the-moment audacity. Maybe 20-something years ago I was living by myself and for some uknown reason I got a telephone answering machine for my one-bedroom apartment, one of the cassette things that were real cutting edge technology back then. I recorded Jingle Bells, same thing, for the outgoing message, like I thought anybody was ever going to call and leave me a message anyhow.Originally posted by Bamfster

No Boxer, that was the Erlewine Lazer played through a cheap-ass 10-watt Randall amp with some distortion and reverb added at the knobs.

Unit and I are talking about this - this is FUN! How about if I recorded a whole collection of non-religious Christmas songs, full-length versions of every song, on slide guitar? Raising hell with effects and fill instruments and deviant interpretation and stuff?

Unit offered this one up, a fave from her childhood. I grew up in the South, Unit grew up in YankeeLand. I had never ever heard this song, or heard OF it until tonight. I don't think I can do anything with it...
