  • Shifter-view Goliath out take video

Tomorrow on the blog we're going to run a longer video update on Goliath, but I wanted to get something up to show the old heap running down the road. This is footage that didn't make it into the forthcoming video. It is a "shifter" view of me taking Goliath up and down the road. I didn't edit it at all, just slapped it up on YouTube.

In order, I pull out of the parking spot the truck is in, out of the driveway, up the road, u-turn and back to the house. It's like 3 minutes long.

The "good part" is from 2:00-2:10 when I put the truck in third and let the 292 eat for a couple seconds. Despite the crap ass mic on my little weenie camera, it sounds pretty good!

Here's a quick "shifter view" of cruising Goliath, my 1966 C50 truck up the street. For some reason it starts a little hard in this video, but then again, it...

      X2...

Yeah, if Brian hadn't described the scene, one could have mistaken this footage for an old Walker Evans video.

      :D

Talk about sawing the wheel. How many turns, stop to stop on that tiller?

Through the camera, it looks like you are hitting at least 70 mph before you let off

Kidneys feeling okay? There is driving and there is DRIVING...looks like wheeling that monster around is more the latter.

You should see it on a bumpy road.
