          That's what people don't realize, in a Nascar race when they run "Spec" motors Nascar doesn't give them the carb until just before the race. And yes it comes out of a box, Pre-tuned, but none the less out of a box. ;)

          And at that on the spec motors the carb is just an 830 cfm Holley out of the box with no special modifications other than being jetted to the motor.

          As for the cup car carbs, they to run a 830cfm Holley, but they are allowed to work the venturies of the carb, but they are not allowed to modify the baseplate or throttle blades.

              You do realize your the only one in the room talking about a spec motor? ??? Nascar also runs Pony Stocks, a four cylinder race with a claim on the whole car for 1000.00 but we are not talking about those either.
