  • White Christmas in Alabama and Tennessee

For those of you in colder climates this isnt a big deal, but in Alabama this is rare. My wife is overjoyed and I'm not, she doesnt have to drive in it and actually likes being cold.

Some pics. The first couple are at my place in HazelGreen and the last ones are at my folk's place on Tim's Ford Lake in Tennessee.

Proof southerners can drive in the snow.

In truck video. If you turn up your speakers, you can hear the exhaust drone from not having tailpipes.

I'm in Augusta, GA for Christmas and we got a little dusting this morning that didn't stick. Nothing like that though.

We're getting a little today but it's melting on contact. The wether folks don't expect any accumulation but there should more build-up inland.

We are still under a winter weather advisory. This stuff may stick around until tomorrow.

Still got 3-4 " on the ground here in N. Ga. It's pretty and all, but please go away. The drivers around here suck out loud in the rain, let alone some snow.

We got about 5-10 inches during the last 2 weeks here off and on in the Netherlands. Seems like the entire nation ground to a halt.
Traffic jams all day long, planes grounded, electric trains breaking down like toys, railroad junctions frozen solid. Roadsalt supplies low or depleted. All in all, one total mess here.

It's all relative. Down here most are not accustomed to it, hell I don't think my county even owns a snow plow, let alone someone that knows how to use it. Meanwhile in BS East, is it sledding time yet Brian?

Still only a grand total of about 2 - 3 inches on the ground here in the supposed "Great White North", Toronto area ... so for all of you southerners ... HA HA!! ;D

Don't worry, it will melt eventually, you'll survive.

We missed this storm completely, here in KC. Our turn is coming, though.........
