  • I'm in desperate need...

And BigDad...before you tell me to post this elsewhere,
I'm looking for something for a customer car.

    75 Buick LeSabre convertible-5.7l(350) Buick V8.
I'm in dire need of a working fuel level gauge...
anyone know where I can find one?

It can be new, or used.

Rock Auto has it for $65.

You could also try searching for Impala or Parisienne. I think they're the same.

(I am assuming you mean the sending unit and not the gauge itself...I wasn't really clear on that)

Also if you can find any other 70s GM sender, you could probably swap good parts from it to the bad sender in the car you're working on. Assuming it has something to work with.

He needs the actual gauge itself for the dash.
That which you manifest is before you.

According to my service writer, he checked on that one,
              it was pulled from sale.

I cant imagine you didn't try this, but I'll say it anyway.
There are a bunch of junkyards online who do internet business.
When I was looking for the fan shroud and brackets for my Blazer I did a search... had to enter my info... then when I got to the end, they wanted a minimal fee. I X'd out of it - I was just curious to see what was available and how much it cost - I wasn't really looking to buy.
Regardless, I rec'd several emails from junkyards around the country with the parts I requested. I know it came from that search/ online form because that is the ONLY time I've ever used the name "davey" in a form.... yep, the emails were to "davey".

If you're not too fussy, a 74 and earlier would probably work and look the same except it won't have "unleaded gas only" printed on it. I remember from my days back in the mid 70's Chevy parts dept job that the earlier gauges were the same except for the designation. This would give you more options.

                            Re: I'm in desperate need...

I've refaced tons of gauges - the front doesn't care what makes the back work.... the way those things go together, IIRC, is the front screws onto the mechanism.... thus a similar vintage/supplier mechanicals can pretty easily be adapted.... otherwise, there are companies that remanufacture the original gauges.

Isn't there a gauge company that fixes/rebuilds/upgrades vintage and oem gauges?
