Funny, you still see mostly those same cars at tracks these days.

I always new that some evil old fat was behind illegal street races. Who knew Dick Clark was and actor?

Anyone know at which track those 'race' scenes were shot.

Being from SoCal I like to look in the back ground and try to figure out where they shot scenes.
I think the "race" they broke up when we meet ,whats his name ,Fat something...
Was near Van Nuys Airport, see the C130's in the back ground?
Was Fat,whatever,a "Big Willey" based carrector?
The "Tech" scene looks like Long Beach or Torrance with what looks like refineries in the background.
I never got to the track scenes, but being 72ish,could have been Lions or Irindale.

LESS English...ain't that the truth. It offends me that billboards and such are written in another language, right here in our neighborhoods, or Press 1 for English on the phone, when my parents had to learn the language before they could become citizens. They were so proud to move here from Italy to become Americans, that they have ZERO Italian accent. WTF happened to that pride? See, ya got me on a rant :P

Many TV shows and movies of that era shot at San Fernando Raceway because it was close to the studios.

Was it still around in '72?
The copy right date of that show was '72.

I did some searching and you're right. SF raceway closed in '69. Lions closed in '72. Could've been OCIR which was open until '83, or could've been Riverside.

Definitely not OCIR or Riverside, I went to those tracks in 72, I thought maybe Terminal Island but it didn't look quite right either.

Might have been a composite, some Pomona some other places as you never saw a full track view from the cars and stars and staging to the finish line.

It was at Benson raceway, haha!
My favorite line was, "It's the way you enjoy your job that bothers me." I can't wait to find a way to use that the next time I get pulled over here....which happens a lot in the town I live.

It sounds simple,"just move"!!It is a bit tough to move for many of us,we own homes, have jobs, have family, etc.Any where you go has problems, either the economy sucks[pretty much the whole country],the weather is terrible, too many people, too much crime, etc. There is no "easy" answer, maybe shoot ALL the politicians and start fresh!!!
