I just bought my 5 yr. old mini-me an old X-wing toy from the early 80's and restored it for Christmas. Including vintage action figure inside. His favorite present of the season ;D

I wonder what my original X Wing would be worth now. I went great lengths to give it battle scarring and burn scoring like the beat up ones in the movies. I still have the action figures collecting dust on the book shelf.

New episode of Big Bang theory is on in an hour.

I remember watching star wars when it came out, I had just got my driver license a few weeks before.

The problem with seeing it in new hi resolution is that it won't be on a screen that's 30 feet wide.

I have a 120" screen in my living room, is that good enough?? ;)

I know that I am in the minority here, but I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than watch Star Wars on any type of Ray, blue or otherwise.

You're not alone.
I can't recall ever having seen 1 complete Starwars episode. I do remember from the first time I saw one of those Starwars flicks I thought it all was kinda lame, with that dumn-A human sized dog/ape for instance.

Besides that, I don't even have a DVD-player at home, unless you count the one in my Mac. So I'll skip this Blue-Way crap all together, unless ofcourse it (still) comes standard in my new Mac in about 5-10 years orso :D

Let's see....a 120" screen has about 11% as much surface area as a 30' screen, so no, it's not good enough.

(with widescreens, there isn't that much difference between width and diagonal, compared to the old 4:3)
