You think it's better the next day? Try it in about 6-8 months from now :P

Chili, stew and meatloaf are better the next day I think because all the spices and stuff permeate the meat and sauce even more....

Pintos are always better the next day , more soupy. I just thought it was my fridge that made it that way. Glad I am not alone.

I'm in agreement with soups, chili, etc. but a thumbs down on the mashed 'taters. Mom used to turn them into sort of non-German potato pancakes with egg, veggies, and served with ketchup. Now THOSE were pretty good!

BTW - I learned something watching Jeopardy tonight. You know how it always says "tomato ketchup" on the bottle. I never could make any sense of that. Turns out that the original ketchup was made of pureed mushrooms! So there is (or was) a reason to specify "tomato".

Anyone from the Food Channel would say that the flavors are "marrying".... and as most of us know, marriage takes time to achieve its fullest flavor.

FAIL...if there's any meatload left, it was a shitty meatloaf. ;D (just kidding!)

I can pile food away, but my wife swears I have a hollow leg when it is meat load and mashed potato night. I'd trade that combo over a T-bone/Ribeye/Porterhouse any day of the week.

There's a little roadhouse type place not far from here I'd love to take all you guys to on a cruise some day, Boneheads.

It's a bbq place, and one of the house specialties is a "BBQ SUNDAE" - it's served in a huge glass goblet, and instead of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and the like... it's layers of mashed potatoes, and some of the best pulled pork bbq ever.

massive yuminess factor - hopefully some of us can meet up there sometime.
There's always something new to learn.

Dan, we've discussed the whole southern pulled pork/ vinegar thing on here before, vinegar should only be used to color Easter eggs, and for feminine hygene products LOL

Now your sweet Tea on the other hand................thats a win-na!

Hey I"m all about the vinegar BBQ and I'm a Yankee.

Enough of that, I'm making a batch of chili this weekend. Time to bust out the gallon of Tabasco. ;)
