Yes, it was about 110 degrees when i was there, but a dry heat so it felt like 150. Nearest shade tree is in Oregon.

Road Gents is the place in the 1954 Hot Rod article titled "Whatcom's Naturally", It's quite obscure, it closed in 1955 and is still there, it's survival benefitting by being within the airport fences nowadays. But if you can climb...

Coolest ghost track i've been to is North Okaloosa in Baker Florida, concrete tower still there, track perfectly smooth at the 80 mph the rental car would go. Speakers and lights still on the poles. The sponsor signs laying on an open trailer and a Hemi powered generator just sitting there. Closed in the late 70's from what locals told me.
