                  Re: Winter is over

I don't know a whole lot about it, being from the South and all, but I think the whole deal around the groundhog thing is another weird (to us, at least) chance for everybody in the Frozen Wasteland to come out from their hidey-holes in the dead of winter and have a party.

That's mighty fine by me, but they have to wake the giant rat up and dig him out of his hut and shake him around for it. Like he even gives a shit about the whole event to begin with. Hell, poor guy, let him sleep. He's old, already.

Nope, out of all the things I don't "get," that's yet another one.

                    its just weird.

there was a ground hog local.. there is no peaking out.
it is indeed a locale oriented something and boredom.
dry snow n february has a winter that is long. I'd punch that ground hog in the face.
