Today, on his last try ( he bridges to boy scouts next month) my son Michael finally placed 1st with the fastest car in the house, (although second fastest package his rt is a little slower than some) but won it all in the webelos division!!

5 years of working at it and my opinion was, the little wedge shaped cars were the fastest, but my son always got to pick what direction we headed in. since this was his last go, I pointed out what I saw as "failings" in our previous efforts (we did get a 3rd last year) and we bought a pre cut body this year, since I have no band saw, and then went to work on it. turned out pretty good and pretty fast. nice to see I can still learn new tricks for an old dog and he learned a lot, especially when we compared all the cars together last night while discussing the high and lowpoints of each ones construction and speed.Originally posted by studemax67 Fairlane 434 ci/464 hp/488 tq-RIP

If the body is cut down, then additional weight can be added to make up for it (where-ever you want).
