Yeah Brian, we finally got it all straightened out. The storm yesterday was not supposed to hit until late afternoon. I guess nobody told it because it hit at 10:30 yesterday morn. Thankfully we had most of the furniture moved already. It's just that last 10% of stuff that takes so dang long to get moved. School is canceled today, big snow drifts everywhere, my street probably has 12" of snow. Main streets are cleared, but the side streets are terrible.
Kids have their Legos and I hooked up the Wii last night so maybe they will not drive Julie crazy today. lol
Since I'm not supposed to eat cheese one of the few times I eat pizza is following a move. Fortunately (from my Docs point of view) I'm pretty much done with The Moving Thing. Still, I hope this is a WONDERFUL addition to your life. And, when does the shop go up? (there's an echo in here)
Best of luck with all the stuff on the new house - it can be overwhelming at first. I got a good piece of advice from a seasoned realtor friend of my Mom's :
Live in a house for a while before doing upgrades. Figure out how the house works and what really bothers you and what you can live with - THEN set your priorities...
I've been in my house for just over a year now. We had our old place 17 years. Damn, how do we accumulate so much CRAP!
My wife bitched up a storm when the 42 X 48 building went up over the summer saying how big it was.
After we started filling it up, she made a quiet comment that maybe we should have gone larger.
So, saying that, if you're going to put up a building, and you have decided on a size, GO BIGGER!!!!
However big it is, 'tain't big enough. I KNOW - done there been that. Here I covered as much of the lot as they would let me. The 30x40 is crammed - see "The Great Mezzanine Thread".
