  • I have UNOFFICIALLY got my old truck

    I was chatting with a co-worker while he was checking out the BS site and he was checking out some of my pics in the gallery, He's looking at one of the pics and tells me he has a truck just the one in the pic and has been trying to get rid of it, seems no one wants it. I look at the pic and im like" WTF, nobody wants that ?" He says he doesnt want it, his dad doesnt, none of thier hunting buddies either. He says if you want it, I will pull it off the deer lease and haul it back to houston for free as long as I take it.

    So it looks like I own one of these now, cept the one im getting is green and has a flat bed that was used to haul dead deer around and was last driven in 1973

    a 1954 F100, yea it'll do LOL

        That is cool I love those trucks. My dad has a 53 F 100 hes been sitting on for 35 years waiting for the "right time". I think I've got him convinced the right time is this summer. Good luck and post pics.

                    Im gunna be the odd-ball, Ive been chatting to my friend dave who has all kinds of ford crap in his yard and has done these kind of conversions and swaps, the plan is to put in a front clip in from a 84-95 toyota truck, a 8.8 from a V8 ford explorer, engine and tranny is basically what ever I can come across ford wise, I was a thinkin late model mod engine would be nice but not sure how it would work with the toyota steering. btw toyota and ford share the same bolt patern and parts are easily accessible

                        Re: I have UNOFFICIALLY got my old truck

                        Screw that yoda stuff.
                        Go find a late model crown vic at an auction, cut the body away, keep the steering, drivetrain, you have 4 wheel disc, full frame {you could clip the front only, and weld on the rear frame.}
                        Alternative, find yourself a torino/ranchero, and clip the front, and away you go.

                        Or say F it, get the 351c I have sitting in the shed, and bolt it in with a crites engine mount kit.
                        Be my hero though, and stick on a 6-71. Please?
                        ;D

                            Jeez, look at how many holes are in the wings of the motor plate! A couple of them are like on top of one another.
