The reason these bergrennen,or hillclimbing events are so popular in Switzerland,is that track racing is forbidden.Now you all know that.

Amen. And from the bunch of them, there seems to be a real cross-section of driver, shall we say experience?

The open wheel guys for the most part seemed to know what their car will do, while some of the sedans, from a spectator's unknowledgable standpont, it looked like they were all geared up and excited about being able to go out there and raise hell, and....sorry Charlie, wrecked in Turn One.

One of the smaller cars got sideways and banged the guardrail and slid to a stop....it didn't look all that bad, but you could hear undercarriage parts clattering down the pavement afterward. I wonder how much shop time THAT negated on a slim budget?

I just watched that 3 Times, and still have the goose bumps. damn even the opels and BmWs sound good in that video. THANK YOU for sharing.
