    Re: #21 Trevor Bayne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night Eddie Wood said on Wind Tunnel that today they would be "lookin' real hard" at the rules for running both series for Trevor. wonder what they may have found.

And I think the pot of gold the 21 team needs may well be in reach from Ford. Edsel Ford sure seemed happy in victroy circle ;D I'm sure 600th Ford cup win was part of it but, I think he/they may see gold themselves in that laddie that won.

No he cant use his points, thats pretty simple. But he could run 18or 24, or 28 races if the team has the finances.

You can now only score points in1 series, but race whatever.

More news on Bayne, local news story from here.

            Re: #21 Trevor Bayne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the 2008 season, Bayne drove the #1 for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated in the NASCAR Camping World East Series. He had 6 Top 5's, two poles and one win at Thompson International Speedway winning from the pole in just his 6th start. He finished second in that seasons Toyota All-Star Showdown. In the 2009 Scotts Turf Builder 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway, he made his first career start for Means Racing in the #52 Taco Bell Chevrolet. Also in 2009, Bayne agreed to race in the #99 Aarons Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing for 8 races, and in his first start for the team, he qualified on the outside pole at Nashville Superspeedway, but a crash relegated him to a bad finish. He finished 12th at Kentucky Speedway and The Milwaukee Mile. He got his career best finish at O'Reilly Raceway Park when he finished 7th after getting his first career pole for that race. Bayne also qualified on the outside pole at Michigan, his first start on a track larger than 1.5 miles. In September 2010, Bayne left Diamond-Waltrip Racing and went to Roush-Fenway Racing to drive for Jack Roush. He made his Cup Series debut in the 2010 AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway with the Wood Brothers, finishing 17th on the lead lap. Bayne is the first driver to compete in one of the top three NASCAR series to be born in 1991.

              Re: #21 Trevor Bayne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Spidey report tells us that he didn't just fall out of the sky, which only makes sense given the money and time and people it takes to field a very competitive ride in a race like the Daytona 500. They wouldn't put just anybody in that car and Roush has an eye for talent.

Apparently the Ford teams finally got the new motor to run well in a restrictor plate race, that or Nascar gave them a bigger bore plate, how would we know?

they were in the right position -good work , the fr9 has increased water capacity , so does the chevy motor but I think at the end those fords tightened up ,..it was a good race

you noticed jr could run real good by himself , too bad the 88 got the robbie gordon treatment

the cars have new nose and tail that "line up" so you can bump draft all day, no matter the track.. smooth pavement helped,
but with a 15-20mph difference, you'll see it done at every track, untill nascar takes the fun away

so if a 2 car push works, how about a 3 car?

Speaking of points, The way the new rules are, Did you know that the winners of each race at Daytona,(Cup,Nationwide,Trucks) this past weekend, did not receive any points because they are not signed up to receive points in the series they won in. Weird

Weird, but I think I like it.

The pre-race show mentioned something about Nascar changing the points system to possibly keep the 48 car from running away with more championships.
Is there still going to be a "chase"? I hope not. The chase simply isn't fair to the drivers.
Racers (and their teams) should be rewarded for their work for the entire season, not a team who peaks or gets streaky at the end of the year.
