so Im trying to plan my vacation , and I need some input.
Go to Bonneville the entire speedweek,
or do I go to reno hot august nights for a few days first then head to bonneville.

I know Bonneville starts winding down usally by wed. and if worse came to worse we could hit some of the national parks again.

Agreed. How could you not wanna go to the Hot Rod Reunion? It's one of the best events here in BG...racing and car shows during the day, cruising at night, and of course the cacklefest....

            Or the US Nationals.
If you have a camper/tent or some kind of motor home I'd go to Brainard, Minnesota for the Lucas oil Nationals in August.

                whoa, calm down everybody!

i have did the HR reunion and the GG event in BG. I have been to the US nats twice .

only been to B-ville once, and never been to Reno. as for the air show, we discussed that for next year.

if it would be up to the wife, it would be disney and cancun 3 time a year! ( she does work for GG too so i get go to car shows)

                        Re: vacation planning

Hope to see you at Bonneville this year, probably Monday & Tuesday. The plan is to fly to Seattle on Saturday, rent a car and make it to somewhere near Bonneville by Sunday night, be there for two days, then spend the next couple weeks working down to the Grand Canyon, up through Vegas and then on to northern California and work the way up the coast back to Seattle.

I've been talking of making this trip for a couple years now, looks like it will happen this year. But you know how it is, nothing's for sure until it happens.
