quick question for the fox-body guys

does an 87-93 GT wing mount using the same mounting holes as a saleen wing?

it looks like they might since theyre both mounted on the edge of the hatch but ive never had a car with a GT wing so i wouldnt know :P

They generally do, I assume that you are looking at an aftermarket replica Saleen wing. The 89 GT I'm going to be picking up already has a Saleen copy wing, which works well since I want to make the car look a bit like one of the old General Tire sponsored SCCA cars.

Really? OK ... different strokes for different folks, right?

You would likely not have much trouble selling the Saleen wing over on the Corral forums, pretty active buy and sell there as you've probably noticed.

i put it on craigslist for $150 and within 10 minutes of posting the ad somebody called me about it and is coming to pick it up tomorrow, hes even GIVING me a GT wing to put on my car too :D

Ed - Good move. I painted a friend's '88 GT and those lights were a PITA to mask and paint. His wife did the masking and razor blade work but it was STILL a PITA. Besides, I like my LX lights better.

Maybe we can swap lights, what colour is you car? Looks black in the avatar photo (same as the GT I'm getting), or maybe your car is dark blue?

I was trying to find an LX to start with, but came upon a great deal on an 89 GT roller that is super clean (tough to find up here), and am going to run with that, and make it look like a Saleen.

Landlord had a Red Capri with the 'Cheese-Graters' on it,I forget what year it was,but I was there whe He threw in the Crusher :...........and what a HORRIABLE noise it was ;D. Once I saw a Silver LX with one 'Gratter' and one standard Light on it :o! ~J/W.
