Re: A day THIS car nut will remember forever!
Dan,Raymond Lowey was quite the character, even though I was only 13 years old at the time I first met Him(I would again met up with Him in 1980,at a PRR Show/Convention...)I will say He was real easy going,He knew what He was,and what His surroundings were. The Landlord & His Family also met Him at several Conventions,Jack was the Man responsiable for the destruction of about 9 of the famous GG-1 Electric Locomotives which He's accquired at a Conrail auction in 1981-82,including the 4840,the FIRST PRODUCTION GG-1 which Mr. Lowey is proudly posing with in 'an old April,1935 Photo :o : :P. Check out www.raymondlowey.com for everything 'Lowey.' ~J/W.
