I was forced to get a GED because of misaligned schools. they got me into about 3 months of senior year.
Very academic, awarded so.
18 came around for a war on TV...january 91.
they took my education, took my life, then I enlisted to do nothing but take some more.
I'd stop for a taco too.
I am glad these vlog people exist. It feels good.
I am third generation not-a-dummy with a high school exit.
imagine being 18 for 1944, or 18 for 1969, or 18 for 1991.

my dad was in the abusive years of trucking..
when 40 tons and 40 something foot was getting hauled by cracker jack boxes and manual steering.
I do not get much out of him for memories...I lived it with him since 79, more so into the mid 80s when I could work as a teen. He used to grab me or my brother to help with chains or straps etc.
leaf springs and bad a/c. the passenger seat never had air ride.
I asked him his favorite road in the whole country..and he said I-10 louisiana.
Today its as crazy as new york city, but imagine being there in 1979 for the brand new road...
I can understand why he said it.
