  • What they did over 51 years ago is still amazing. It took 44 years for a plane to go the speed of sound and only another 22 to put a man on the moon.

This is a good video of the final decent.

The commentary is great, true Guy!

Interesting talk about the motor hitting peak RPM in the corners, the bike is on a smaller diameter part of the tyre.

Las Vegas magician Mac King has a trick that's so notoriously difficult to figure out, even Penn and Teller have admitted they have no clue how he does it.

                • He cheats by using the right angle drive and clutch from the self propelled setup. Any kid I've known will be fragging that in short order. Self propelled mowers were a pricey oddity when I was a kid. Otherwise an interesting build. Bonus points for the use of bicycle parts!

this is a bad time for their goals and purpose etc.

I always realize my own situation after watching them. I have been alone for 24 years and this is all I have to say:

That discomfort this guy has, he just goes home to his family in france.
I chuckled.. the ancestry dna stuff. I have been alone for 24 yrs among everything I would never be near in the first place.
it is all involuntary...serving the country. I only stay afloat pretending it is honor at times.

I thought of which country I'd visit to instantly feel that safe feeling.
                    I may never know.
Glad some people can stay in touch.

no intention on being sad. I am a fn gimping machine to be honest.

                    • This is the best Bathurst I ever watched. I am a Larry fan, it was his own team and all his work in the car.
It's also memorable because I heavily backed Larry in the betting within the group of mates watching the race together

                            • Bathurst 1967, a little bit different than today. I think the lap times are very good, a bit over a minute slower than current but there has been an extra corner added at the end of Conrod straight.
