  • I get mad at rice (some here know)
I remember when this came out, and saw in the specs it was a 72 degree block.
no other manufacture ships the v10 correctly..they all cheat the block angle for reasons unknown.
I knew this one was going to sound amazing before hearing it.
I just learned in this video ..years later, it is made by yamaha.. so there is the formula 1 link after all.

I have never heard a sound recording so good.
this guy is traveling on familiar roads in massachusetts in this video.
plays with 0 to 90.. well, like a formula 1 driver.

      • DB sent this one. It goes to show it ain't always the guy with the fastest car who wins, it often comes down to who has quickest pig stop.

        • This was done at Road America. I like road courses real good. This video reminds me of when an instructor took me for a ride around Road Atlanta in a Porsche GT3 because he was getting frustrated with how slow I was driving Red and I wouldn't let him drive Red to show me how much faster Red could go. There's a GT3 in this crazy experiment, for a few seconds.

Road America is a HOOT of a Course to drive on in PERSON !!
there are some Quirky things to the Track,
there are "Blind Corners" that you don't really pick up in the video. Corners 6-7-8 are Interesting as this is where cars bunch up leading into the "Hurry Downs" a downhill grade with a hard left turn at the bottom, which leads thru a small uphill short straight into the "Carousell" a long right hand turn.... and a few more turns to the Long Main Straight , which is a steeper "Blind" uphill onto where you can see the Start Finnish line, Hoping No One had Tangled Up trying to make a Pass before the hard Right Hander at turn 1......as You only have seconds to back off as you are giving it ALL up the grade....

SBG, You Gotta come out here to the Frozen Tundra to run this course, and of Course, knock back a few Beers, and Cheese Curds!

I'll bet it is. We're taking Red to Rockingham in a couple weeks. It's not a born-as road course, it's a one mile banked oval (old NASCAR track) with a trip through the infield like Daytona but smaller.

How many laps are in a dog sled race there? I'll bet lots of the sleds tip over in Turn 6 with kids throwing snowballs at 'em off of the bridge.

They've got a off camber blind right 90 degree at Atlanta Motorsports Park, Turn 12. You go up there and twist the wheel and you just have to have faith there's pavement there. From this angle you can barely see where the stripe on the right side starts to follow it.

                    • Lousy weather outside sometimes stirs the imagination on the inside. Sometimes that's a good thing. Not every time, but sometimes.
