I am into sword history, as my family shield, made somewhere near 500AD or even older, indicates a forging type, and not a mythological Celtic fairy tale. This means, there is a gap in western europe that is like the dark ages.. beautiful steel work is much older than the viking swords, etc. , just not written. My shield for the surname was in fact used to help decipher the gaps...never filled in, even today.
I found it fascinating, my name was in on missing history somewhere, real iron men.(they later got along with the vikings)..then history went bland. The first story, still undeciphered, and even shrigged off as myth, that got me going on the sword stuff..

I then thought, that must have been an island. Ireland I presumed.. and it is not exactly overflowing with trees.
anyway, this is a cool vid. Myths, legends, and finding the real chunks of iron that outlast the whole midget altered truth.
