  • Remember when Speed Channel had "The Lost Drive In"

Man, I miss that, it introduced me to some real bad movies, like Freejack and Maximum Overdrive, and I think I saw Sometimes They Come Back first on there

Also, remember when Speed Channel had programming worth watching?
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

      Yeah.......I miss it as well.

Always looked forward to watching the
old movies, especially during the winter months.

I loved that...showed me how goofy Bruce Dern is. Lots of awesome old movies.

Oh, you mean SPEEDVISION? I watched all day sometimes. I've got 4 Lost Drive Ins on video tape, the old ones with Bruce Dern. I also taped a bunch of Legends of Motorsport. I wish I had taped all of these, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlPE4NiPCn8
Just groovin' to my own tune.

Speed used to be good,it sucks donkey balls now,who wants to watch nascar races over and over. They have a few good shows, but most are garbage. Lost drive in was cool,I miss it.

couldn't agree more - they should just call in the nascar channel. Haven't they noticed how attendance and ratings of nascar has plumeted in recent years? Time to bring back some of the old programming - like swamp buggy racing, and that crazy inboard boat course racing, ralleys, and more nhra / ihra coverage.

I LOVED the lost drive in.
There's always something new to learn.

                  Sandy cancelled it.
I remember asking one day where it was at, and she told me she took it off months ago.
I guess that shows how much I watched it.

I grew up watching SPEEDVISION, even skipped school a few times (ok, I was actually really sick and had a legit excuse to stay home as a teen, but I abused the privledge a few times...). Lost Drive In, NHRA/IHRA coverage, American Muscle Car, Legends of Motorsport! Amazing shows. We should start our own channel, the NOT NASCAR channel. Show everything except NASCAR.

Bruce Dern, yeah! A wild and crazy guy. With a hot daughter...Laura Dern, one of my favourite actresses.

Yes I remember! My favorite was Two Wheel Tuesday with Dave Despain, but did always try to catch "Lost Drive-in"too!

I rarely watch "The NASCAR Channel" in fact I don't watch much TV at all. Makes me wonder why I pay $80 per month for directv

                              I always enjoyed the WRC.

                              The Rallye cars were great.
