This whole idea kinda got me in over my head. I had a rebuilt 292 with only around 50 miles on it from a 1970 C-10. The 194 in my '63 Chevy II was on the way out, so I figured 'what the heck, I'll just put the 292 in the Nova.'

Well, 16 months later, it's finally moving under it's own power. There are still a few things to work out, but hopefully I'll get there soon. If I knew what I was getting into before I started, I probably would've gone another route, but I must say, I know a heck of a lot more now than I did when I started!

Love it! (For obvious reasons.) I haven't read your whole build thread, but I'll be looking for details on how you made your throttle linkage work. I'm still not satisfied with mine.

A HS buddy had a '68 Camaro that was Antifreeze Green with white tuck-n-roll interior that was originally a 250 /3 spd that he blew up doing 4000 rpm clutch dumps. He replaced it a 292, bored to 302 ci, 4 spd from his Dads wrecked farm truck. He added a 4 bbl, a cam, and a split header with turbo muffs.
It had so much torque, he would waste V8's from street light to street light. The funny sounding idle totally fooled and confused people. He would tell people it was a 302, then start it up just to laigh at the weird looks people make.

I saw the beer in the red coozie (miller high life?) but I missed the wings logo.... nice work - that engine compartment is cleaner than some hospitals.

                          There, fixed it for you!

Hospitals flat-out scare me......wife works at 2 of them, I want to scrub her off on the patio when she gets home. Yikes! Gotta go, she just pulled in the drive!

all those engines come from the crazy emission constipated cam timing. my own bent a block the long way.
