  • Man Food

So I'm sitting here contemplating dinner. Kids aren't around, wife has gone to see the MIL. Nobody here to bitch about what I'm going to eat.

So of course steak, probably some tater tots crispy, either red wine or beer...

Then it hit me...chli, onions and cheese on the steak...perfect.

What else should I think about eating for the next, gloriously bitchy free days?

Anyone suggesting vegetables gets their man card yanked.

      PARTY AT BOBS!!!!

Down here in Tijuana they wrap bacon around hot dogs and sell them on street carts, no worries though they cook the hell out of 'em
      Bacon flavored ice cream
Bacon Maple Bars form Voodoo Donuts in Portland

Nothing is better than the Mitch Mortgan. A shot of bourbon in a bacon grease rimmed shot glass with a butterflied piece of bacon on the glass. Try the original at Telluride, Colorado's premier restaurant and BBQ joint, FAT ALLEY. You won't be disappointed

Bacon, truly a gift from the gods!

Helper. Hamburger Helper. Tuna Helper. Chicken Helper. Fish Helper. Alien Meat Helper.

30 years ago, there was a buddy of mine who couldn't cook at all. He got divorced and was own his own. I was over at his apartment and he opened the cabinet, and it looked like a Helper TV commercial. Packed solid. I mean packed sloid like the grocery shelves on Monday morning.

        Helper's good stuff.

Or cans, that's the easiest. Heat up some cans of stuff.

Sorry if that's no help.......but it may be some help. Seen folks live on just about nothing.

I have been craving polish food...Cabbage and noodles, sauerkraut and kielbasi, pirogi with caramelized onions...

That will get the gasses flowin...

Or a couple beer can chickens with a mango habenero rub...

Hotdogs cook well in the microwave, but you have to watch them. Too long and KA-Blooey, they split and explode in an awful mess. Grease into the next county...

Man I wish I could find a locally hand made sausage place. One of the bummers about where I live is everything is chain store.

I've always wanted to try making my own. Doesn't look that hard, I watch it being done on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives all the time.

Unfortunately, I don't think the bacon would ever make it into the can.

Well so far Beagle gets 3 points

Loren gets 1 gazillion points cause anything that includes bacon and alcohol gets 1 gazillion.

Peewee hasn't mentioned bacon, gets the goose egg.
