I can't believe I just typed that.
The Jav up there made me want one again. I have an odd desire to have one. Or a Hornet with a 401.Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

It was great meeting you, hell yeah it was hot today. Wish I had more time to hang and have a beer or two.
Here is a couple more random pictures from pit-out on Friday.
Here is a big line of Horse Power ready to be unleashed
CanAm hardware, a go-cart with a big block. I can't imagine the skill it takes to drive something like this.
Velocity stacks are sexy.
GT40 for all the ford fans out there.
Notice the Right hand drive with the shifter on the right side as well. I also find it interesting how tight the cockpit is around the driver on those things!

Mike, I think it's a combination of skill and huge cojones needed to handle an original Can-Am car.
The GT-40s were tight, but keep in mind that back in the day they never would have had those door bars in the cage ... those have been added for modern rules. The driver looks to be fairly tall (or long torso), as his helmet appears to need the "Gurney bubble" for clearance on the top of the door.
cheers

Here are a few more
How about a nice sunoco yellow minilite wheel. This is art!
Here is one for my flair fetish, I still want to build a car like this with a big block Buick and a 6 speed.
I also like naked race cars, I love the design and fabrication even more than the shiny paint. Here is a nice March F1 chassis with a Cosworth Ford V8.
You get the strangest traffic jams in these small towns, LOL. The Friday night race car party gets bigger every year! All the pictures seem so soulless without the sound and smells to go with them.
