Check this out. You know you are jealous I'll probably start reading it at some point this week, the book is riddled with analogies like that from flipping through it. Should be a pretty interesting read from a late 1950's point of view.

2nd hand book stores are great and cheap... Black Tiger at Indianapolis... I read that in feb. of '69 and Mario won Indy that year...my first racing book...look for that one, its a great period read. paper back too!
