When my brother told me about this show I kind of blew it off as old dudes....old junk....and GEEKS!
Well now that my boy followed him to it this year I'm kind of blown away by this event. 280,000 spectators attend this event... over 12,000 participate..... over 600 wheeled vehicles. And the battle scenes....WOW

Cars, tanks, planes, gun and history wow that would be amazing to participate in or even just watch. Your son is pretty lucky to have a father like you to let him do this kind of stuff.
