  • What is your favorite Van Halen song and why?

Summer is here. It is hot as hell and the women are wearing minimal clothing. Van Halen is cranked on the Pioneer in my car and I am thinking, "Man, this brings back some killer cruising memories."

What is your favorite Van Halen song and more importantly, why?

    Mine? Drop Dead Legs...

Why? The brass pole, baby... the brass pole!

I'm a drummer and I have it on vinyl - I even stripped my drums in blue / silver like Alex's were in black / white.

HOT FOR TEACHER -- and you GOT to love the video!
There's always something new to learn.

        It's your choice, not ours.

DLR - Ain't Talking 'bout Love! That guitar riff gets in my head and will not find the exit.

SH - either Summer Nights or Poundcake

Not sure of the name of it, but the refrain goes like this "Finish what ya started" and the guitar licks and lyrics are pretty good. But I'm 58, so what do I know.

'Romeo Delight' - 'cause it flat out kicks ass....

'In a Simple Rhyme' - 'cause of the harmonies and some old memories.

I am only 38, but in early 80s, wow.. that was a sound I liked, even as a little kid.

today with the computer, I save favorite clips...
mean street solo in the start of song is awesome. I got that on loop, etc etc.

I got 1984 on cassette when I was 11. Faded away fast after that...

the 1984 album in fact was 2 weeks before my birthday, that is what I got. Getting a cassette was a big deal. I still had a phonograph to play with...

I've never been a fan of Van Halen. More of a Led Zep kinda guy.

Yeah, give me a easy-to-answer question. Grew up with young parents in the 80's...VH and AC/DC all the time..

IDK...I'd probably have to say "Dreams". Always picture the Blue Angels version of the video.
                      Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."

Me Wise Magic ... it's just different

From their 1996 album, "Best Of Volume 1". This is the first song that the band recorded with original singer David Lee Roth in 12 years!
