At Loring, Turk had me change the ratio in the quick change.

I'm under there doing my thing and I see two white sneakers next to the rear tire.

    Turk: "Brian?"
    Me: "Yo"
Turk: "I'm asking this because it is my car and I have to."
    Me: "Uh...OK"
Turk: "You are putting the little gear on the bottom and the big gear on the top, correct."

Ah yes - the quickchange- I'm slow- but I catch on eventually. A record under 40mph -- HILARIOUS. These guys are hero's.

not likely, they probably just switched the position of the gears in the quick change.

In this case, the push car is faster than the race car. lmao

I hope they use the chutes. That would be awesome.

Did they just have to actually make one pass under power to qualify? haha

Don't worry, the scienced it out, it'll be fine. There's a really good fire suppression system on the car too.

Details: all the pistons are still in the block, the intake valves are working normally, and the exhaust valves in dead holes are hanging open 0.040. 9 psi boost. We are using 1 and 6. 4,500 pounds. Four speed: 2.25, 1.6, 1:1, .91. Rear gears 7.75:1. We will push to the 1-mile mark, then run it through the 2.
Gotta wonder why they are letting the intake valves open and close?
