"We feel at this level, it really throws a wild card in there," Pemberton said.

Newsflash Randy, the series needs a ####in' wild card.

Had they run the race in the rain yesterday instead of waiting to run it today in (hopefully) better weather, a lot of people would have tuned in to see the spectacle.

We're always hearing about how awesome the Sprint Cup drivers are (and a lot of them are very good) ... bolt the rain tires on and show us!

            cheers

                Real race fans like racing.

YOur average Mr. John NASCAR Fan Doe likes accidents. They should race in the rain so they can sell more TV ads.

I tend to disagree there ... some of the best F1 races this season have been in wet / changeable conditions.

Then you NEED to find yourself a replay of this years Canadian GP, it was THE best race, in any series, I have ever seen.

Don't be hatin', just because you can't pronounce most of the drivers' names. LOL

I have a stock car. It doesn't fall down when it rains. Oh - different kind of stock car... I can tell what it is by looking at it. It still doesn't fall down when it rains. Did they stop delivering shine when it rained?

I tend to agree that the sanctioning body has no place telling them to put on rain tires. If they want to eat wall, let 'em. I used to enjoy watching the guys who would leave the slicks on praying the track would dry out. It should be an inalienable right.

I had a buddy years ago that used to run slicks on the street quite a bit - posi, slicks, damp road. Fun fun!
