The top pic believe it or not isn't a burnout.....It's second round of qualifying.
Round one it smoked the tires hard at the hit, round 2 it made it out a little farther, shook slightly and then went up in smoke.
By round 3 we had switched tires and had it backed down a lot. It had a .960 60ft and ran a 5.59 for the number 12 spot.
Q4 we tried to give it a little more and it payed off with a 5.435 hole dropping 254 mph. That was good enough for number 6 and we had to race Jared Dreher....he had been having some issues but we had been helping him and got it fixed for him....It just sucked we couldn't get it to go a little quicker so we didn't have to race him. Anyway, we basically left it alone but it went out about 100ft and lit the tires up again, ending our weekend.Originally posted by TCalso boost will make the cam act smaller

I like that place and have had good luck there, I went to 2 finals in a row a couple years back. The track is usually good but that was back in the summer, I bet it will be good again. I can't wait to get there and see what the air is like!Originally posted by TCalso boost will make the cam act smaller

Ha, ran into the Horner Bros there, we have 3 heads of theirs to fix.
We went 5.47 right out of the box which was pretty good, 4 or 5 for the first round. Then went into tire shake issues.
We won first round when Robin peddled it, it was ugly and I think a wrist pin broke. I didn't have a good chance to really look at it but, it looks like something was shoved into the intake valley and made a big mess, the cam is broke in two. We got the engine changed in time for round two but it started raining and they called it. Robin had to be at work Monday AM so we packed up and left.
On the way home the rear axle in the trailer shifted and blew the tires out so it was pretty fun trying to get that fixed on the side of the road at 4am.
The track was really good, and so was the air, too bad for us that it kept raining. We wern't setting the world on fire but we were still surviving.
I'll try and get some carnage pics for you guys this week, I know you like that stuff!Originally posted by TCalso boost will make the cam act smaller
