Cool stuff, Brian. Glad you are going to be able to empty your plate a little with minimal hassle.

Saw and heard a CJ at Bass pro last week with fender well headers and header mufflers. It was a mild 304 and went like hell up the road. A healthy 360 would be a riot in one.

Local dude wants it, so I am going to tow it to his place the week after SEMA. I think he is going to use some of the decent parts off of it (floors basically) for a resto project he is working on.

I am keeping the 360. In my mind I want to put it together and jam it in a CJ7.

    SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!!

Pulling the 'chute on that thing? Can't really say it's a surprise, seemed like ya lost steam once discovering the 'cage in that thing is glorified plumber's pipe.

I was really hoping to see that thing move under it's own power, as all of us involved in moving that welded-rear tub did.

Then again, I can understand getting out before getting in TOO deep(rebuilt engine, needed a trans, wiring...plus a new'cage)...and those trucks can be enjoyed by more than ONE occupant. Knew there HAD to be a reason DF let that thing go for magic beans...LOL

I still say the "fuel cell" in that thing is one of the funniest damned contraptions I've ever seen in my life(albeit unsafe as hell).

Was worth laying in the cold-ass snow just to have some fun with friends and fellow Bangshifters(carjunkies, junkyarders, and anything else we've called ourselves along the way).....seeing that tub sitting in Phil's trailer was just a riot.

Good luck to whomever it ends up with...hope they get it moving(Too damned heavy to be pushing around).

    ...........'smoke

Well, how did it go? Are you Javelin-less?

I looked at your build thread and there is a picture of a Vin plate riveted to the car. Is that still there?

    The VIN stamps are gonzo.

I have a guy locally who is a friend of a friend coming to check it out tomorrow. If he is not interested, maybe this can be plan B

If it is on the "free to good home" train, then consider me the conductor. Shoot, it doesn't even have to get here anytime soon. Although, it would have to be Redballed all the way back to Bakersfield, CA. Always wanted to build a street legal race car. Probably wouldn't even paint it. You could keep the engine if it would help you to recoup the investment.

Does it have the VIN stamped on it still?
