That was one of the inner tires that was on the truck for the whole ride home. I had the big outer tires on it so the inners were not touching the ground. My wife did call me on the cell a bit concerned that chunks of the tire were flying off for the first 10 miles or so. It pretty much stopped after that...but the Pacifica got a gear oil bath for most of the ride. The front end will never rust!

          the old tire shot...

I was helping dad clean up behind the garage, uncovered one from the pine needles. old style steel, and tread non-existant...
15 years sitting after driving all the way to bald on a hard suspension, 40 odd fott flatbed, wooden planks, old stuff.... still had 115psi even.

20s below to 90s..buried in the dirt ..and its road history before that.

when he told me where it came from, I had to think back to my mid teen years. Almost disbelief how tough they really made it.

looking forward to story. maybe a movie..
          with a song.

              Goliath looks forlorn and jealous.

I swear when I lifted Goliath up with Brutus, he looked over and said, "Eh tu Brute?"

Your father-n-law was right, you had PLENTY of room to spare to fit those tires in the back of the family truckster LOL

And I hate to say this but, if he was standing on dirt, Jackie boy would look like he lives in a trailer park in that photo, AWESOME shot though.

Brutus looks great with those new shoes. Goliath looks jealous and hurt with the hand-me-downs on.

I noticed the picture of the youngster with the heman wrench. The dog is thinking when's my turn for a ride
