Ok, new golden retriever take 2. The new addition...again.

3 weeks ago I lost my golden pup Tate, died from a combo of things. Broke my heart because he was a great dog...aside from eating underwear and socks and costing me over 5500 to date.
The breeder knew of his heart issue and his behavioral problems and was kind enough to give us a pup from her newest litter..
Wife ran out to LA yesterday and picked him up. I only had time to see him a few minutes last night and about a half hour this morning. From what I can see he is just as cool as ol' Tate was...I think he will fit in well...plus the other dog is a mess without a second dog...she perked right up this morning when I let him out of his crate...No time for pics yet but I will snap one or two off tonight...

shes a sweet lady, and thinks about the animals...the litter Tate came from had 2 dogs with heart murmers..she seperated neutered the male so he couldnt breed anymore. The Female had been bread out prior with no litter issues....she also has them screened for hip displacia and such...and was covering the bill for the cardiologist and the meds for the murmers...

Cant wait to get home to play with him.

I bet. Puppies are the most fun and most aggravating things in the world.

I love mutts & pound pups!

My grandparents had a series of mutts.... Every one of 'em from the pound. All healthy as a horse...

                I like that breed.
I wonder what smaller version exists?

Chief will live a long and happy life you can see it all over him, he kind of looks like he's been here before, he has ancient wisdom in his eyes.

Congrats on the new family member!!!

It's amazing how fast they get bigger, even though they sometimes keep their puppy mentality for a long time (like their owners who don't want to grow up!).

My first golden retriever was a present from my Dad on my 10th birthday. I cryed like a little school girl when I was 25 and the vet told me our options were limited. I have tons of storys with that dog and they are all good.
