  • How to upload images.

I have looked at the FAQ'S for information on how to upload images but for the life of me cannot figure it out.

The information I am reading tells me not to use the quick reply button if I am uploading images and instead to use the main 'new post' or 'The New Tread page.

It must be my old age. Could someone walk me through the steps.

    Special thanks Jimbo

They have to be 800 pix wide max, too. If they are too big they won't upload.
That which you manifest is before you.

            BigDad:

Thanks for your help and quick reply.

When I click on the 3rd from the right button it does open a box but is there a browse button that also should open or am I looking for the browse button in the wrong place?

All I see is the box with an http:// box.

When I find a picture I want I my computer and I copy and paste and then insert that in the box it just the HTML code but no picture.

Can't figure out what I am dong wrong. Jimbo

You have to click the "go advanced" button below the box you type in. Then click "manage attachments" -- once you do that you can select the photos from your computer to upload. The way you are doing it is the right way to hot link to a photo you have found on the web.
That which you manifest is before you.

                Brian: Thanks for your help.

I went into the settings and changed to the Enhanced Interface-Full WYSIWVG editing and now when I click on the reply button and then select the 3rd from the right or image button and click on it I now have just what I was looking for which is the way to browse for images on my computer.

Until I changed that setting from the standard setting I was not seeing this screen for browsing before.

This was driving me crazy because I work on computer and maintain web sites every day.

Thanks again for your help. Jimbo
